Measure the experience a page delivers
Performance work should improve a visitor’s experience under conditions you can describe.
Know the measures
Core Web Vitals cover loading performance (LCP), responsiveness (INP) and visual stability (CLS). Google’s reference below explains these measures and its recommended thresholds.
Use a comparable test
Record the URL, device profile, connection conditions and cache state. Compare the same important route before and after a change; report the variability instead of selecting only the best run.
Separate lab and field evidence
A local test helps diagnose a page. It does not establish what real visitors experience across devices and networks. State when field data is unavailable and keep that gap in the report.
