What would your SEO assumptions add up to?
Explore a monthly scenario using your own assumptions. The starting numbers are illustrative examples—not a quote, forecast, or claim about typical results.
Calculations stay in this browser tab. No input is saved or sent.
Your monthly scenario
- Potential additional inquiries
- —
- Potential additional customers
- —
- Contribution before SEO investment
- —
- Modeled return on SEO investment
- —
- Whole new customers to cover investment
- —
Fractional customers are a mathematical scenario. Results are not a promise of actual demand, sales, or search performance.
How the calculation works
- Inquiries = additional visits × inquiry rate.
- Customers = inquiries × close rate.
- Contribution = customers × contribution per customer.
- Modeled return = (contribution − investment) ÷ investment.
- Break-even customers = investment ÷ contribution per customer, rounded up to a whole customer.
Keep the limits in view
All inputs should refer to the same monthly scenario. This simple model excludes timing, repeat purchases, attribution uncertainty, taxes, and costs not included in your inputs. Zero investment makes percentage return undefined; zero contribution makes the break-even customer count undefined.
Change one assumption at a time to understand its effect. Use evidence from your own business where it exists, and label estimates as estimates.
